This framing nailer has a dry fire lockout that prevents the nail gun from firing when the magazine is down to 2 nails, thus indicating the need to reload the magazine. The unique internal valve design of the DeWalt D51844 generates enough power to drive 3-1/2 inch nails into standard framing lumber and engineered lumber with minimum recoil. This round head factory reconditioned nailer is equipped with a hassle-free quick-release mechanism which releases jammed nails from the round head within seconds. The D51844 nailer has been constructed using magnesium while the magazine is built of aluminium.
