For those who don’t follow the New York weather… it snowed! And as you can tell from this picture, it came down hard and it came down all day long. For some people, it was an irritant. For others, it was a blessing.
After the jump… we get to test the Sno-Baller under real world conditions!
The Sno-Baller is like the gentle walrus. Inside, it looks kind of dumb and you worry it might scare the pets and mess up the carpet. But outside, it’s a perfectly designed killing machine. Except replace “killing” with “snowballs”. Here, we’ll show you.
To make the test scientific, we chose a small but lovely grove just outside the Toy Fair grounds.
We also got Amy, our lovely Director of Marketing and lifelong Floridian, to do the honors. Don’t let the smile fool you. All people from Florida are terrified by snow.
Amy went right to work, using the powerful Sno-Baller to push the fresh snow together. We were expecting a loosely packed mass that would be somewhat circle-like. Instead, we got this:
An amazing, absolutely perfect, unquestionably ready-to-throw, ideal snowball. It was soft, lightweight, well-balanced, and even stackable!
Okay, we’re no good at making snowmen. But with the Sno-Baller, we don’t have to be. Check out how quickly this Florida girl can make her snowballs now.
Of course, once we had a little arsenal completed, we had to have ourselves a snowball fight.
Can you believe we get paid for this? Oh, um, that is to say, based on our extremely hard work, we can tell you that the Sno-Baller is not only easy to use, it makes the absolute best snowball we’ve ever thrown. If you’re looking to fully enjoy winter, this is the tool you need.
Special thanks to Amy Harich for helping us learn how to properly snowball. But don’t get cold feet just yet! Our Toy Fair 2010 coverage is still rolling on!
