Back before DVDs or VCDs or, yes, even before Betamax, there was a real trade in Super-8 films. Like this one.
Caught your attention? There’s more inside!
You’d take out the home projector, take the pictures off the wall, turn out the lights, and have a movie night, where you’d enjoy about three to five minutes of movie action per reel. Sort of like an analog YouTube, only with less Rick Rolling. In a world where The Sunday Night Movie was a big event, the Super-8 was high luxury indeed. That’s why we figure some of you old timers, and even a few select young-timers, might enjoy some amazing Super-8 Box Covers.
We openly admit that we found these gems via Nerdcore, but don’t you just hate it when you get caught in a wormhole of blog links as one leads to the other, all talking about who found it from whom? We certainly do, so we’re also going to link you right to the actual post on World Famous Design Junkies, where you can enjoy a gallery full of really great 70s style movie art pre-cut into tiny, digestible squares. Just watch out for The Spider. It must eat you to live.
